I will joyously post if my cat comes home, so in the meantime ...

Well, here is something I loved on Twitter: Answer the question (link takes you to a one-minute TikTok video on Twitter).

I love this guy generally; his little videos are always hilarious, and the interactions between the two characters are so perfect, and oh the question!

So ... WHAT WOULD YOU BE?

On Twitter I said "I think I'd like to be as heroic, beautiful, and liminal as a red mangrove" --to which one of my Twitter friends replied that he'd like to be a black mangrove because those are the ones that have pneumatophores, the little breathing tube sticking up like straws from the sand.

--Bonus points if you noticed, as the ninja girl did, that the music playing in the background of the video is from Spirited Away.

I did notice the background music, but then, I had several pieces from the soundtrack on a yoga playlist that I used for a while, so I'm pretty familiar with them. :) I think that one was "Day of the River"?

I've seen some of that dude's videos on Tumblr—a friend sent me the vampire one specifically (which had me laughing aloud). You're totally right, he's charismatic and hilarious!

...oh right, there was a question! Um. hrm. It's not a terribly erudite answer (I'm not super up on my tree-ology), but I'm kinda leaning towards maple, largely because they're unassuming right up until fall, at which point they're brilliantly dramatic. Google also tells me that they're extremely adaptive, which is something I'm working on. And they make fun little helicopters for their seeds!

Those are both amazing XD

Probably it's because I've been actually learning makeup lately, but I just adore what he does with subtle (or not so subtle) makeup to create the different characters. I love the merman with his pearlescent eyeshadow especially!

I can't participate because I can't play videos on Twitter, but I love both of these answers.

It's actually a pretty nice tree, despite the excessively dramatic name (just because the twigs look like bones and its pollinated by bats...). Beautiful flowers. 18m tall unfortunately, or I would have planted one in my front garden.

Unfortunately, no! The specimen that I saw was in a botanic garden. And it was full-grown, so the young, edible pods were many metres above my head....the fallen twigs do look remarkably bone-like.
