You know that bit of Little Town on the Prairie (I think) where Laura is taking Mary on a prairie walk and describing what she sees, and she thinks of describing the sunset as a king retiring to his bed and drawing magniicent curtains around him? But she knows that Mary doesn't like such non-holy images.

Since I got to know Psalm 19 (https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Psalm+19&version=LEB), I've wondered whether Laura Ingalls Wilder or her editor were joking....

Haha! I didn't know that psalm/those lines, or the reference in Little Town in the Prairie (which is one of the Laura Ingalls Wilder books that I read and liked), but wow, yes, talk about directly contradicting evidence!
