[livejournal.com profile] yamamanama suggested drawing what the bright eye makeup looked like--so I did:

And furthermore, I tried it myself, today:

It was a good day today. Might have more pictures later...

Too cool! What brand of pencils did you use?

I used Lyra watercolor pencils (like Aquarelle--ones that, if you add water, spread like watercolor). Crayolas are *not* watercolor pencils, and for them, the tutorial said to use hot water. I was able to use cold water.

I pictured it below the eyes too. And more of a gradient.

Well, I dunno. I'm not big on selfies. But maybe I'll take more eye shots.

I am so impressed by people who aren't afraid they'll poke a pencil in their eye, whether coloured pencil or mascara pencil.

I can manage the lid, but I have problems with things on the eyelashes or on what they call the water line.

Oh, wow, that throws me back to 1968, and my brother's girlfriend's awesome eye makeup. (She rose every day at five a.m. It took her two hours, but she always looked marvelous.)

Two hours is quite a time commitment! I bet she did look gorgeous!

Yeah, as you said in the last entry, the skin by your eyes is delicate--I probably won't do it often. But it was fun to try :-)
