I was so shocked to hear you have left us, minoanmiss. You are a fountain of art and fic and joy at making babies smile. You've sent me poems, you've sent me stickers that have decorated letters I've sent people. When the pandemic hit and I posted about the Japanese amabie, you made a fridge magnet of one. She's on my fridge above your Minoan dancers.



Do you remember when you sent me a postcard for a pine tree, and I took it there?

You made magic happen.

I will think of you every time I see someone making a baby smile. I will talk to that pine tree about you. Maybe it has your forwarding address, and I can send you a postcard.

I just heard this, and am so sad. I only knew her online, but it's been several years.

She's someone whose personality came through really richly and fully even if the friendship or acquaintanceship was just online--I never met her in person either, but she has a place in my heart.

She understood trans women as well as anyone I've ever met and knew about abuse survuval so I'm going to miss her desperately. :o(

I feel it really is a blessing. I'd trade the blessing in a moment to have her back with us, but as things are, I can definitely feel the blessing--just in how much love there is for her and how it connects us all.
