Both people have been amazingly supportive from the time I (re)started writing as an adult. As a guest editor of a YA zine of brief existence, Sherwood published my first short story, and both she and Andrea helped me reach out to the world when I self-published Pen Pal. If I can be in other people's lives the kind of person these guys have been in mine, I'll be happy.

Looking over the second interview, I see at some point I said something like, "It comes down to power." Hilariously, I discovered I wrote something similar in a novel at age 15:

Thank you for linking to the interviews! I enjoyed reading them both. (Do you know if the launch event on Saturday will have a Q&A session? If it does I'm going to prepare a few questions.)

I also think it's great that there's this continuity in your work between your teenage years and now - this continuous interest in the ways that power works, and how it ebbs and flows and affects people differently depending on their proximity (not necessarily geographically) to the center of power. Well, possibly you hadn't developed the theme to that extent when you were fifteen, but still it's interesting that you were already thinking about it.

I was amazed! I had had a notion in my head about what that story was about, and while that notion is still correct, I keep finding these other aspects that I'd totally forgotten about.

The plan is for the event on Saturday to have a Q&A, although it may not be long. The idea is that we'll read a little chat a little, read a little, and chat a little. We might do audience questions at the chat portions, but if not then, then certainly at the end! So either way, do bring them!
