Both so beautiful! Looking at that through my right eye, it's got such depth. My left (still with cataract and glasses) it's still pretty, but I can hardly wait to see summer greenery now, sans cataracts!

How many people never even notice their beauty?

A good wish would be that everyone could have eyes, heart, mind, soul able to see.

How do you feel about fern spores?

About invisibility?

I like fern spores, I think? They lead to more ferns, right?

And invisibility! It has its good points and bad points. I love it when it adds mystery and when it empowers. I dislike it when it envelopes people against their wills.

A lot of people find spores creepy-- it brings out their feelings about serried holes. Sheeyun dislikes them. I've always liked them, because future ferns. And periodically thought about trying to sort them on a wet brick, British-style.

They are a traditional ingredient in invisibility formulas, which is why I asked that. I had only been thinking about chosen invisibility and what Diana Wynne Jones called its "queer moral effects"-- ring of Gyges stuff-- not imposed invisibility, which yow is ghastly. Thanks!

Re: fern spores, I had no idea! How cool that they are a feature in invisibility formulas. Maybe you can whip something up before departing on your cruise....
