Yes, they're a kind of violet that I'd never seen before moving to this house--charming, aren't they!

Oh oh, you have the freckly violets! I have some given me long ago by a friend, but they are tricksy chancy things and come up to bloom maybe two years out of three.

The dandelion is lovely indeed. We are just seeing a few here and there as yet.
