Snow clams burrow into the snow the way other clams burrow in sand, and like other clams, they have air holes.

See them? This would be a good place to dig for snow clams, though they'd probably be tiny.

Hot chocolate is the perfect drink for snow clams.

And here I thought that was snow painting in pointillism.

The snow clams can cluster in very artistic ways!

Tiny, but it looks like there are plenty of them.

Enough for snow clam chowder? Would you serve it cold?

They're probably really tiny, like these surf clams. (http://www.downeastinstitute.org/assets/images/Mercenaria%20on%20hand%207500.JPG)

So that's where they come from! I guess you'd have to be careful of snow crabs as well?

Yes; what people call frostbite is often a snow crab pinch.

I understand they go very well with Alaskan fur fish.

Alaskan fur fish are such delicious eating, with the bonus being that you can then make such a warm coat stitching together their skins.

Hmmm, reply didn't post!

I was going to say: Alaskan fur fish make such delicious eating, with the added benefit that their skins can be stitched to make a warm and waterproof winter coat.

This may be made waterproof by lining it with the skin of the Northwestern tree octopus. (That population needs to be thinned anyway. They're eating up all the snipe.)
