So yesterday I created the driveway advent calendar and filled in days 1–5. Last night it rained, of course! So today I did what I'd resolved to do in that event: touch up the frame (all the squares), and then just continue going forward.

So here's what the frame looks like now--you can see how the images I drew yesterday have blurred:



And here's December 6's offering: a candy cane




... Even though I promised myself I wouldn't touch up the others, I just might, depending on how work and other obligations play out.

I'm really looking forward to the complete series, rain or snow or no.

And I'll keep drawing them! Even if a big snow comes--which I think is pretty unlikely before December 25--if we clear the driveway pronto, we usually have it melt down to bare tarmac within two or three days.

I doodled five ahead of time, among them the hot chocolate and the candle (and a couple I haven't drawn yet), but otherwise I'm letting my heart guide me!

This is the most AMAZING project and I love it and also am in awe that you have pavement not covered in snow because that is very weird to me.

The blurs look kind of pretty now.

Yeah, I like the way chalk art yields to the weather--the colors are still there and the shapes are dreamlike.
