Another message in a bottle
Jan. 7th, 2014 09:52 amMy cousin alerted me to this lovely message-in-a-bottle story from the BBC:
"Woman Gets Message in a Bottle Reply after 23 Years"
I love ten-year-old Zoe's message:
Dear finder, my name is Zoe Lemon. Please would you write to me, I would like it a lot.
I am 10 years old and I like ballet, playing the flute and the piano. I have a hamster called Sparkle and fish called Speckle.
The letter actually says a few other things:

Her parents still live at the address she gave, so at Christmastime, when she went home for a visit, she was able to get the response.

Date: 2014-01-09 09:14 am (UTC)The reply read: "Dear Zoe, yesterday on one of my many walks with my wife along the dikes of Oosterschelde looking among the debris thrown by the sea of embankment I found a little plastic bottle containing your message."
And in UK Mail Online article, it says that she's been in contact by email with the man who found it, who said to her,"I am keeping your little letter on my piano. I know you are no longer a little girl but you asked me to write you so I have."
