Something gold, something fiery
slipping from a sky-cast net
peeking through pines
flaming, molten,
along the line of the hills

And in the right place at the right time, which includes not having large buildings in the way. Thank you for sharing them with us.

That's great light. I wonder what was forged in it And where it is now.

I think they were smelting the last beams of that days sunshine. What a material it is: it can be beaten thin as gauze--thinner. From that one furnace, they can smelt enough to spread over the whole landscape. Remarkable.

Beautiful words.
And as I was walking there, and looking upon the sky and clouds, there came into my mind so sweet a sense of the glorious majesty and grace of God, as I know not how to express. I seemed to see them both in a sweet conjunction; majesty and meekness joined together: it was a sweet, and gentle, and holy majesty; and also a majestic meekness; an awful sweetness; a high, and great, and holy gentleness.

Of course! And thank you. This was just me setting my camera on the window of the car and snapping pressing the button, hoping that what was within the view finder was like what I was seeing with my eyes--in other words, all the sky, no photographic artistry.

Soul in the art does not always require artistry. Also, you carry magic.

I like the "sky-cast net" - the sun as subtle fish (or bird?). (and like an inside-out of of Omar Khayyam's Hunter of the East! :) )

and while we're on subtle golden fish - have you seen the fish subtly using a jelly fish as water-trail-breaker?

I did see that little fish! With his own suit of jellyfish armor. What a bewildering situation for both creatures!
