danceswithwaves has a very short story snippet, "The Midway," about an encounter with an otherworld soul, in one of those places where the boundaries between here and there melt away. It feels true.

Note: Her entry was originally locked and will be locked again at the end of the week. The border between here and there is always moving, and doors that are open one day are closed the next.
