A bag and a tinier bag

You know the cloth bags you can get that come with an attached tiny sack that you can stuff them into? (ChicoBags are one manufacturer--that's what I have.)



(When you're using it as a bag, you turn it the other way out so the attached pouch doesn't show.)

The other day I was using mine, and the guy who was putting my stuff in my bag for me seemed especially interested in that little attached pouch.

"Clever, isn't it," I said. "It means the bag folds up really small for you to carry it."

"It's also perfect for holding hot peppers," he said.

And then I saw that what he'd been doing was carefully inserting the two hot peppers I'd bought into that tiny pouch.

I have a ChicoBag! They are so useful! It never occurred to me to use the little bag as a special pepper bag, but what a fun extra use. It might fit other small items too... a head or two of garlic perhaps.

Or like, a special treat--a pack of gum or a roll of lifesavers (though I'm not sure they sell lifesavers that way anymore)

I love the cleverness of some grocery baggers. They do way better than I would. I love the photo of the peppers peeping out, safe from most squashing.

They're cheap! The basic bag is like nine bucks? And there are definitely lots of similar designs out there.

You want more than one. They fit just perfectly in a coat pocket so there is always one when you need it. I have about 6. I like several of the patterns they come in.
