I put off watching that movie for years, too- I think I saw it two years ago- figuring it would be all flash and soppy romance. I was pleasantly surprised by it. The costumes were wonderful. I liked that they showed the class differences but didn't make the movie all about that. I wanted to slap some sense into Rose's mother! If it shows up again on a channel we get I'll probably watch it again.
