because the *moment* someone like me hints that I might not trust that the other person is Benevolent In All Ways, they may take that Dastardly Insult as an excuse to become terrible. --And this disparity in our situations makes feel like I'm going to fall into a thousand pieces ... and yet I'm not the one living with it as viscerally harmful daily assault... no words can express how wrong that is.
