Asakiyume mita

Your picture reminded me of the Jewish concept of to-hu va-vo-hu, which basically means chaos, but it's what the world looked like before God created the world. In some versions (or at least the way I remember it), it's not that there was nothing, it's that everything that could create the world already existed, it was just all mixed up together at once.
