Yeah, the article is essentially co-opting her for use in a discussion about suicide and whether people should have a right to suicide. She isn't trying to commit suicide, as she's said repeatedly and as the law has recognized. It's already legal in India to use hunger strike as a tool of protest, and that's what she's doing.
