Since Flo herself travels all over and often has a hard time laying hands on Nigerian ingredients, she often gives substitutions. In one video, she was talking about a leafy green, for example, and she said you could substitute spinach. … But yeah, sometimes you want to cook it exactly as it's meant to be cooked, and then, if you're in a rural place, you're out of luck. I have that problem too. I can get certain (but not all) Asian items in the next town over, because it's a university town (and because of the local Cambodian population), but, for instance, even if I want to make South American food, I'd have to travel to the nearby city.
