Date: 2025-03-06 08:19 pm (UTC)I love your idea as a way of healing the spot. When I came upon it, I felt such a strong fear and unhappiness that I just wanted ~ away ~ from it. But if I went back stronger, then yeah, I think a gift or a prayer would be a great thing.
With regard to Djez's story, I actually wrote the microfiction before I heard the news, and when I did hear the news, I thought with morbid satisfaction, Hey, great synchronicity.
And with regard to Marina's story, those are all excellent questions! If I expand it into something longer, it'll be fun to come to some decisions. I had a lovely encounter with a female cowbird once; we spent some time together on my back lawn. But she had a definite personality... I feel like if a psychic cowbird took over Marina, you might notice some differences in her opinions or mannerisms. But then, Marina is a pretty out-there person to start out with...
