It's interesting to me that both you and Dark Phoenix, who commented above, are located west of the Mississippi--a statistician would warn me against a judgment based on a sample of two, but I wonder if "work harder" as a motivator is something more common in the West. I wonder this because while of course I've heard people say it, I've never seen it as a slogan, so to speak. Thanks for describing the three types of ways you found it used! I'm curious: was it tattooed by the ear? (I will go look, as it occurs to me you may not be able to see/find my reply)
