*laugh* Wow, I was way off base! I thought, 'What is the girl doing with her hat?' :-)

I can understand that! "Sombrero" and "Sombra" look similar--and should: a hat is something that gives you some shade/shadow.

That's a surprisingly poetic sentence for a language learning program. I wonder who writes these sentences - if they came up with that sentence, and others like it, to entertain themselves as much as anyone using the program. (Somehow I'm seeing a young woman writing these things late at night, sitting in her darkened apartment with only the light of her computer screen - shadows stretching across the ceiling as cars go by below and their headlights flash through the window - and remembering maybe when she was a young girl, and played with her shadow.)

There are some amazing sentences in the program--I've been keeping a list of the ones I like best (this one is going on the list)

Another phrase from that lesson was "gente en puestos altos"--> "people in high positions" It felt like political commentary.

Some of them are just weird, like "hasta la llegada del animal blanco"--> "until the arrival of the white animal."
