mist on the last day of the year

Here is mist, sifted through a screen:

mist through a screen

And here is mist, unmediated:

mist on the last day of 2015

Today, on the other hand, is bright and sunny. The sun makes the snow sparkle and the crow's wings shine:

Nice textures, all

The bird bath water is frozen solid and I don't know how the birds drink in this 20+ degree weather. I'll chip it out a little later for them.

I hate the misty, but it makes for evocative photos...

How beautiful! I love the mist.

How much snow do you have?

We're supposed to get a LOT (for us) of rain next week. 2 - 3 inches.

Those are lovely; thank you. I like the gloss of the crows' wings.

Three nice ones, especially Crow. I like the unfocused screening on the crow picture. It flattens it all out like the work is on a canvas rather than a photo. Paintings are a lot about surface, that is, the picture plane surface. It's the signature of the artist, which this photo seems to possess. I look at this one like a surface, rather than a space through a window. It's tactile.

The mist is lovely from inside a warm house. And crows really come into their own in the winter, don't they?

Clicking back to your angel cookie post, I came across this one again and realized I hadn't commented about how beautiful these images are and how mellow they make me feel. :D I would like to go for a stroll down that path in the second photo.
