November bouquet

It's a bouquet of shades and textures. The old-man's-beard and the milkweed are so soft; the amaranth-like stuff is prickly, some of the others are scratchy.

And I have a picture just for YOU but I want to print it up and send it as a card, because.

And this icon is not related, no, not at all. It's random that I chose this.

I'll look forward to it!

Such beautiful colours, but as a 'deep Autumn' I would say that, wouldn't I? :o)

[identity profile] asakiyume.livejournal.com 2014-11-05 05:52 am (UTC)(link)
I'm glad you enjoyed it!

[identity profile] yamamanama.livejournal.com 2014-11-04 04:31 pm (UTC)(link)
It looks appropriate for when the color disappears from the world.

[identity profile] asakiyume.livejournal.com 2014-11-05 05:52 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah--which happens around now.

[identity profile] yamamanama.livejournal.com 2014-11-05 12:32 pm (UTC)(link)
There's still green on the trees here.

Also, did you see my response with the Indian languages in head in the clouds?

I did! That was a lot of work! You must have had to ask for the transliteration on each of those, right?

(I have something I want to say over there; I'll leave a comment later)

There's a "read phonetically" option, which I have set. So, it wasn't actually that much work, just translating the passage into each language and copy-pasting each translation.

I'm not sure what all those diacritics mean. But it's enough to see that the two families are vastly different and the different languages within the families look kind of similar but don't seem to be that mutually intelligible.

How gorgeous! And how fragile... Nobody sneeze!

I'll pinch my nose if the urge comes upon me :-)

My pleasure (I love your icon).

That's very pretty.

I have a bouquet drying here in my office. (The ladies who work for me gave them to me for Boss' Day.) They look pretty November-ish now. I'm letting them dry so I can collect the seeds.

[identity profile] asakiyume.livejournal.com 2014-11-05 05:59 am (UTC)(link)
What a great idea about the seeds! What sorts of flowers are they?

[identity profile] duccio.livejournal.com 2014-11-04 07:05 pm (UTC)(link)
very nice, beautiful arrangement.

Thanks--it was all just roadside bounty.

That is very, very beautiful.

Those first ones, the flower-looking ones, are some kind of burr, with a double prong that hooks you.

I can fell it from here...

As J and I were I working on planting stuff on our balcony, I was thinking of you and milkweed and whether it is the right time (in my life, I mean) to ask for milkweed seeds. :P

Beautiful, in a decaying way!

[identity profile] asakiyume.livejournal.com 2014-11-05 06:01 am (UTC)(link)
If I can look that good at that stage in my life, I'll be well pleased :-)

The bottom photo is ethereal.

I love-love-love milkweed seeds. Brown-faced princesses with the most beautiful gauzy white dresses.
