I'm nearing the climax of my sequel to The Inconvenient God. I'm excited! This story's considerably longer than that one--with more details about the protagonist's past, including her ~ ~ name ~ ~ (Sweeting was what her grandparents called her, but it's not her name.)

I probably won't finish it by the end of the year--too much other stuff going on--but early in the new year.

... okay, going to take my high energy off for a run and to work out more plot details.

There's old stuff hanging around, but I kind of dread looking at it for fear of wincing in embarrassment. It's okay! I'm happy to just look forward.

Also seconding what sovay said about the possibility of a short story collection. How many stories would you need for that? You've got these two stories about Sweeting - the boy on the roof - the story of the blind seamstress from the ballroom anthology - Jolene (I think the heroine's name was Jolene, not the story title) - the story about duplicates (which you have a cover for and everything!)... And I know there are at least a few others.

Of course I don't know the rights situations for all of these stories, but still. It might be worth doing!

One of these days! As you know, my inertia is strong--I have covers for the dress story and "Duplication" but still haven't managed to format an epub doc... And organizing a whole collection? But one day!

Do you know I was afraid to click on this song in case it makes me deeply sad by motivating me to create Stories and Worlds and Wonders at a time when time is not ripe for such. I did click, though, and am now just enjoying it and contemplating getting up and dancing a bit. :D
