Siamese cats! Yes, looking at images of harbor seals, I can see it. These were gray seals, and aside from their faces, what struck me was how multicolored they were--positively dappled. I had a picture book as a child, Scuff the Seal, that drew the seals like this, and I could never believe the seals were so many colors, but apparently they are.
