but when we tell them, they go into the folds and become part of the piece --that is beautiful, and do you know: I never knew this about origami. Just goes to show that even when you're supposed be so familiar with something (like me, with Japan), there can be whole vistas and landscapes you've never seen.

I also like the bi-directionality of the influence: it feels so right. Things are never just traveling in one direction.
