It can--so much depends. Since you're just revving up into serious writing--as opposed to doing it for the past 10-15 years and getting nowhere--why not set this one aside, for now, and work on a second? Just judging from what I've seen of yours, you are learning at a very smart clip, and you might yourself decide it doesn't best represent you, in a couple of years. (And like I said, if you let it rest and come back to it, you might see just what to do to fix it. I told you the story of And Felt Along the Heart and our processes are enough similar that it seems worthwhile to bring that up.)
