But now I think maybe having read it in the past was part of what prompted me to think in that direction--like my mind was trying to recall a word, but the word was a whole fact, the fact of using the nests [ETA: of the species whose nests] they were born in. So that's cuckoos--I wonder if cowbirds do similar.
