I went to this last night with zero expectations and really had fun. I enjoyed Miles and his family, I liked the other spiderfolk, the humor worked for me, and the animation/art was gorgeous. Oh and I loved the soundtrack!**

Just in case you were sitting wherever you're sitting and you found yourself wondering what Asakiyume thought of Spider-Man: Into the Spider Verse.

PS--I liked the role graffiti and stickers played.

**And I have some money on an Amazon gift card so I think I'll be treating myself to it...

I liked the other spiderfolk

I like "spiderfolk" as the collective noun for this type of superhero.

Sadly it does not look like I can see it in the theatre (I can't see any Spider-folk movie in a theatre) but so gorgeous! Wow.

Those super-saturated colors hurt my eyes. Another for the small screen!

Very glad you had fun, tho.

Oh, if there are flickering or strobe lights, I am DEFINITELY out. Last thing I need is another stroke.

Interesting! I didn't even know this Spider-Man thing existed.

Dude, I just saw it for the second time last night! So much fun. Brian and I were talking about how amazingly well-written the screenplay is—they manage to fit multiple character and story arcs into an impressively lean runtime. And the COLORS! <3

I also have had the soundtrack on loop since I first saw it last week. What with my Sculpt intensive upcoming, I'm already mentally choreographing squats and bicep curls to several of the tracks. :)

I would have completely missed this until tithenai squee'd about it most mightily and I tried it. I was transfixed; it is a love letter to the Idea of comics, the joy they can hold. I went back and saw it again, on my birthday.

There are some lovely chewy points in it as well. The meditation the film has on the best way of dealing with grief alone was well worth the rewatch.
